Christmas Stockings

When it comes to my family and presents, there are millions of things I want to make or be able to make and give as gifts.  I have one person who every time I see something new, I think (insert name here) would love this.  I also like to give to those who just appreciate the amount of thought and work it sometimes takes to craft.

For years, I have wanted to knit stockings.  As I am not really a knitter, I have always been intimidated.  A friend and fellow crafter, Beverly Locke, has told me for years that I could do it.  Well, finally I decided to order a video to learn how to knit socks.  After all, stockings are just big socks, right?

Now that I have two pair of socks completed, it is time to move on.

Christmas Stockings Take I

The first stocking I did went really well but was way to big.

I haven’t completed it, and I may never complete it, but I knitted enough of it to build my confidence.

December Dishcloth Swap

I finally finished my December Dishcloth and it is on it's way to Seattle.  This is a pattern I found on Ravelry from another Blogger.  The pattern is called Holiday Star and it was completed in under an hour.

I am going to try to learn something new. Thank goodness for youtube.
